IT Specialist

Summary

We are looking for a skilled IT Specialist to join our team. The IT Specialist’s role will be to assist with the installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system software and related infrastructure. This individual will also be responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of system hardware and software related infrastructure. Our ideal candidate is experienced in troubleshooting, problem-solving, and providing hands-on technical support in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools

- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure

- Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability

- Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

- Provide technical support for any hardware and software issues our users encounter

- Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems

- Create and verify backups of data

- Respond to and resolve help desk requests

- Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution

- Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes

- Review application logs

- Install and test computer-related equipment

- Document network and system changes

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Proven work experience as an IT Specialist or relevant experience

- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues

- Familiarity with operating systems and platforms

- Excellent problem-solving and multitasking skills

- Customer-oriented attitude

- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 required.  Microsoft tenant management a plus.

- Network certification (e.g. CompTIA Network+) preferred

- Experience with IP phone system administration a plus

- Experience with Druva, SentinelOne, Rapid7, Cato Networks and Microsoft Intune a plus

- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Python scripting and Crystal Report writing a plus

Additional Information

- Job Title: IT Specialist

- Work Environment: Office setting. On-call availability may be required for troubleshooting and system maintenance.

- Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director of Information Technology

- Salary: Salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

- Pay Range: $60,000 - $65,000 based on experience and qualifications

- Location: Rome, Georgia.
