Job Location: New Jersey Office, Asbury (Warren County NOT Asbury Park)
An IT Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and supporting the computer systems and networks within a company, including hardware and software installation, troubleshooting technical issues, providing user support, and ensuring smooth operation of IT infrastructure, often working closely with employees across various departments to address their technology needs.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware and software applications as the company deems necessary.
- Manage user accounts and associated permissions.
- Manage network infrastructure as well as monitor functionality
- Provide sweeping technical assistance on a vast array of IT issues for employees across departments
- Occasional scripting via PowerShell and/or Python
- Answer phone, email, or the ticketing system in due course.
- Manage data backups and recovery processes
- Potential travel
- 1-3 Years Progressive I.T. experience
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and software
- Windows, Mac (IOS), and Linux experience
- Network knowledge a plus (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN)
- Language knowledge a plus (PS, Python, Bash)
- Positive outlook, friendly demeanor
- Ability to work independently for day-to-day work, but team oriented for larger objectives
- Problem solving and logic are the biggest things you can bring to this position
Typically, office work performed while sitting at a desk may be required to work after hours or on weekends as needed. A level of on call may also be required.
The ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, lift up to 25-50 pounds, and perform fine motor skills with hands and fingers for keyboarding and manipulating small components, often with extended periods of sitting at a desk while working on computer systems; some situations may require occasional climbing of stairs or ladders to access equipment in different locations
