At LCRA, we are looking for an IT Asset Administrator to ensure our assets are properly acquired, maintained, utilized, and disposed of according to our organizational standards. As a part of LCRA’s Digital Services team, you will help support an organization that strives to enhance the quality of life of the Texans we serve. We promote IT proficiencies by performing structured work assignments and providing instruction, mentorship, and direction from supervisors, managers, and knowledgeable colleagues.
You will be trusted to:
•Maintain the organization's IT assets within the ServiceNow platform, including tasks like asset discovery, inventory tracking, lifecycle management, software license compliance, contract management, hardware lifecycles and reporting, by configuring and using ServiceNow's ITAM modules to optimize asset utilization and cost control across the IT landscape.
•Use ServiceNow tools to automatically discover and populate the configuration management database (CMDB) with hardware and software assets across the organization, ensuring accurate inventory data.
•Track asset lifecycle stages from procurement to decommissioning, including maintenance, upgrades, and disposal processes.
•Monitor software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor agreements and prevent over-licensing.
•Handle vendor contracts related to IT assets, including renewal dates and pricing information.
•Analyze asset data to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize asset utilization.
•Generate reports on asset health, usage patterns, and compliance metrics to inform decision-making.
•Configure ServiceNow workflows to automate asset management processes like asset request, deployment, and retirement.
•Ensure data quality within the ServiceNow CMDB by performing data cleansing and validation activities.
•Integrate ServiceNow ITAM with other systems like procurement, HR, and accounting to streamline data flow.
You qualify with:
Four or more years of experience in IT asset management, IT service delivery or other relevant experience. A degree in business, information technology, computer science, or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
You are a great fit with:
•Experience using ServiceNow ITAM or other asset inventory management system
•Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
•Experience using ServiceNow and/or certifications
