JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Business Intelligence & Applications Director, while working independently and as part of a team, the IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of the organization's information technology hardware systems and infrastructure. The IT Systems Administrator will lead and assist in the usage of technology to continuously improve the efficiency and profitability of each of the Thomas Oilfield Companies.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
•Maintains hardware systems to facilitate communication and ensure that business activities are properly measured and captured into integrated databases.
•Works with vendors to implement technology solutions at all phases of operations.
•Works with Human Resources to ensure that employees are issued with the proper technology tools to be successful at their jobs.
•Manages inventories of technology tools and software.
•Recommends the selection and acquisition of hardware, software, and IT-related services and equipment; audits and approves all costs for technology spending.
•Assists in maintaining backup/restore and disaster recovery preparedness.
•Manages and promotes current IT security measures to ensure good IT hygiene.
•Creates reports and disseminates information to management to create visibility into all important activities and devices managed.
•Participates in creating and utilizing budgets to plan future needs and control costs.
•Provides technology/helpdesk support to team members for problem resolution.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in IT or analytical discipline.
•3 Years’ experience providing IT support in a physically separated environment.
•Knowledge of computing and networking hardware and peripheral equipment.
•Knowledge and understanding of physical and virtualized networks.
•Ability to troubleshoot computer systems and equipment problems.
•English language proficiency with strong written and verbal communication skills.
•Detail orientation with equally strong organizational skills, including multi-tasking and demonstrated problem-solving.
•Self-starter with ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer service attitude towards those served.
•Able to work Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
•Able to successfully complete all required pre-hire tests and verifications to include pre-employment drug testing, reference & criminal background checks and MVR review
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience with extracting, integrating, and reporting on software databases.
•Ability to utilize Power BI or similar data consolidation and reporting tool.
•Experience using NetSuite ERP in a multi-company, multi-location operation
•Experience with SQL based queries
•Experience in oil/gas, trucking, manufacturing or other heavy-industrial environment
