This position reports to the IT Director and is responsible for the day-to-day technical assistance to end users as needed. The role of the Application Support Specialist at Sunland Construction, Inc. provides assistance, support, training and solutions for Sunland software applications. Responsibilities include:
- Support of existing applications, including support tickets and requests
- Monitor applications for integrity and issues. Work with end users to resolve any issues identified.
- Update requests in ticketing system with all relevant information on the issue and resolution, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Configure, test and implement application changes/enhancements.
- Update Active Directory for new hires/terminations/changes.
- Manage IT Invoices & end user licenses such as MS365 & Adobe
- Manage mobile devices – inventory & billing
- Monitor laptop inventory
- Vendor interaction, specifically in instances of new systems acquisitions, upgrades, research, or support
- Expected to work closely with stakeholders on projects
- Update IT Tips knowledgebase on a regular basis
- Provide knowledge transfer and assistance to team members
- Provide training on applications or new modules – webinars, classroom or videos
- Continue to gain knowledge on applications and technology
- Assist Help Desk IT Support Specialist as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Must be extremely self-motivated with excellent work ethic
- Must possess good interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written, with a positive attitude
- Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or related work experience in IT or pipeline construction industry
- Must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in application support
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Must be a problem solver with Issue identification and resolution experience
- Must work well independently or as part of a project team
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the Mission and Values of the company
- Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential.
- Ability to work well with people at all levels (technical, non-technical, etc.)
- Familiarity with Sunland applications such as Arcoro, Spectrum, Concur, Time Entry is a plus
