International Group Controller

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Global CFO of ELG Utica Alloys, the International Group Controller will work closely with senior management and local CFOs to increase ELG Utica Alloys’ (EUA) efficiency, profitability and reliability by assisting with the formulation of short, medium, and long-term financial budgets, forecasts, plans and reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Work closely with the leadership team to formulate EUA Group’s short, medium, and long-term financial plans.

2. Work with local financial, commercial and operational teams to build annual Group budgets and monthly P&L, OWCR and OFCF forecasts.

3. Validate, challenge and check consistency of commercial and operational numbers and underlying assumptions

4. Prepare analyses of variances of budgeted amounts to actual amounts

5. Prepare analyses of changes in monthly forecasts and variances of forecasted amounts to actual amounts

6. Prepare trend analysis

7. Prepare weekly 4-Week Cash Flow Forecasts

8. Assist with month-end consolidation process (monthly Group reporting)

9. Input annual budgets for US entities into consolidation software/system.

10. Analyze financial, commercial and operational results to better understand company performance.

11. Communicate to senior management the reasons behind the business type/product/department performance and results.

12. Provide detailed analysis and commentary on cost center results.

13. Evaluate previous budgets, expenditures to develop and implement future budgets.

14. Communicate results and recommendations to senior management for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations.

15. Provide insights to senior management around financial modeling, forecasts, and profitability

COMPETENCIES

- Minimum of 5 years of relevant analytical experience

- Big Four external audit company previous experience

- Advanced computer software skills, especially MS Office with focus on Excel, and advanced knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or others)

- Knowledge of International Financial Accounting Standards

- Strong quantitative abilities

- Able to solve complex problems.

- Excellent communication skills with ability to build relationships.

- Strong influencing and interpersonal skills

- High level of commercial acumen

- Professional qualification such as BA or Masters in Business Administration or Finance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
