JOB SUMMARY
The Supervisor - Infrastructure & Operations is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our information systems infrastructure, ensuring reliability, security, and scalability. The position provides supervision, mentoring, training and oversight of the information systems infrastructure staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Leads and manages a team of infrastructure operations professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
•Oversees the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's information systems infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and related technologies.
•Develops and implements strategies to optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of infrastructure operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
•Ensures that information systems infrastructure meets security and compliance requirements, implementing and maintaining appropriate security controls, protocols, and procedures.
•Leads incident response and resolution efforts for infrastructure-related issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors as necessary to minimize downtime and impact on operations.
•Monitors and analyzes infrastructure usage and performance trends, forecasting future capacity requirements and implementing scalability solutions as needed.
•Manages relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers, overseeing contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and performance metrics to ensure quality of service and value for money.
•Drives continuous improvement initiatives within the infrastructure operations team, identifying opportunities for automation, process optimization, and efficiency gains.
•Maintains accurate documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and processes, and prepares regular reports on infrastructure performance, incidents, and operational metrics for senior management.
•Collaborates with other IT teams, stakeholders, and business units to understand their infrastructure needs/requirements, and ensures that infrastructure solutions are aligned with overall business objectives.
•Performs other duties as assigned.
DECISION MAKING
•This position works under limited supervision.
•This position directly supervises assigned staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
•Five years of experience in infrastructure operations to include implementing and maintaining security controls, compliance standards in information system infrastructure and scripting languages (i.e. VBScript, SQL, Python and HTML including two years in a supervisory or leadership role.
•Valid Class “C” Texas Driver’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an institution accredited by a recognized accrediting agency.
•Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CCNA, MCSA, Azure Certified Solutions Architect).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of up to 15 pounds, visual acuity, speech, and hearing. Working conditions are primarily in the office environment but occasional outside field situations could require the use of basic personal protective equipment. May be required to travel. May drive a company and/or personal vehicle when performing duties at field locations.
May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule including nights and weekends.
