Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking qualified candidates for an Instructional Analyst/Developer opportunity in Richland, WA to support the Hanford Site.
The Instructional Analyst/Developer will support training and qualification activities at the Hanford Site. This role focuses on analyzing operational and maintenance job requirements and developing instructional materials that support workforce qualification, readiness, and long-term operations within a nuclear facility environment.
The Instructional Analyst/Developer will conduct training needs analyses within the operational requirements domain, identify gaps between job requirements and existing training programs, and develop instructional solutions that align with organizational and regulatory objectives. This position works closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), line management, and job incumbents to ensure training content accurately reflects job performance expectations.
Key responsibilities include performing job task analyses, developing instructional storyboards and materials for classroom and operational use, and supporting revisions to qualification and certification programs for nuclear facility personnel. Instructional development activities are expected to follow a systematic instructional design approach (e.g., ADDIE or equivalent).
- Conduct job task analyses to identify training and qualification requirements
- Collaborate with SMEs, management, and job incumbents to validate task and training needs
- Develop, test, and implement instructional materials to support operations and maintenance personnel
- Support revisions and updates to Qualification Card programs
- Ensure instructional materials align with job requirements, organizational objectives, and applicable DOE standards
- Develop and maintain project schedules and provide updates to the company-designated representative
- Bachelor’s degree. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an instructor and/or instructional analyst/developer within the nuclear industry
- Demonstrated experience applying systematic instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE or equivalent)
- Experience developing training programs for nuclear operations and/or maintenance personnel
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with technical and operational stakeholders
Salary is commensurate with education and experience and may range between $100,000 and $165,000 annually.
