- You're experienced with analyzing competitor's information, trends, identifying sales opportunities and pricing levels because you've been doing sales for 5+ years.
- You'll be working heavily with electric motors, drives, and controls.
- You are a go getter who is actively looking for new accounts.
- You are an expert in building rapport and enjoy providing customers with technical information and explanations to make sure the customer has the right information to make a good decision.
- You can knock out a quotation and are able to provide all the necessary details by utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- You understand the importance of following up with customers in a timely professional manner on quotes and maintaining up to date and accurate customer information.
- You're comfortable communicating with customers through phone calls, e-mails and teams’ meetings.
- You have above average organizational and multi-tasking skills to assist you in this fast-paced customer driven sales department.
- Your ability to pay close attention to detail is a great benefit when you are verifying and entering orders along with vendor purchase orders.
- You are hands-on when it comes to working with L&S management to help figure out what vendors’ products to quote and the proper mark-up for the order.
- You're a whiz at developing accounts by checking past buying history, suggesting new or related items to sell and explaining the technical features to the client.
- You take pride in ensuring timely delivery and managing stock levels to help provide on time delivery.
- You are dedicated to maintaining communication by troubleshooting, reporting, and tracking problems.
- You seek ways to improve quality and are continually recommending improvements to current policies and procedures.
- You love to learn about new products by studying product descriptions and will seek out new educational opportunities to better improve your knowledge level.
- You enjoy working as a team with Outside Sales to provide the best professional service to customers.
- You have excellent computer skills, are proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and an expert at multi-tasking.
- Bonus points for experience with electric motors, drives and controls.
- You are willing and able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
- Able to follow and communicate both written and verbal information in English.
- Able to work for any employer in the United States.
- Outbound calling/selling to new and existing customers.
- Handle customer calls for electric motors, controls, drives, and accessories.
- Review technical specifications and quote accordingly.
- Assist customers with technical questions on the products L&S represents.
- Attend training courses both online and possible in person
- Coordinate large projects to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Checks stock and enter orders into the system.
- Contact suppliers regarding price and delivery times.
- Quote customers – both verbal and formal quotes.
- Occasionally call on customers with outside sales representatives, dependent on location.
- Follow up with customers and suppliers on quotations and orders.
- Expedite orders with suppliers.
- Maintain daily CRM system.
- Enter purchase orders with suppliers.
- Manage freight expenses on a per order basis.
- Review and adjust inventory levels based on customer needs.
- Work in both customer portals and vendor portals.
- Attend internal and external training
- Minimum of 5 years inside sales experience.
- Familiar with electric motors, drives, and controls.
- Minimum 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience and aptitude.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in distribution.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Willingness to make outbound sales calls.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of and able to use proper phone etiquette.
- Above average communication skills (oral, written).
- Computer literate; above average keyboard skills.
- Able to interact with people in a professional manner.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Fluent in English (verbal, written).
- Must be willing to work overtime, weekdays, and weekends to meet customer service requirements.
