The normal work schedule is on a rotation of 4 weeks paid i.e., 2 weeks worked (77 hours per week, 7 days a week) followed by 2 weeks paid to rest. Future Challenges
Under the supervision of the Senior Mining Engineer - Principal, the Engineering Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, designing and ensuring the follow-up, supervision and development of various mining works for an underground mine. Main responsibilities include:* Validate underground development and production plans, as well as those relating to surface drilling and blasting, and obtain their approval by the engineers;
•Supervise mine planners and survey technicians to optimize work methods and ensure efficient operations;
•Process, verify, validate and compile collected data to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards;
•Develop optimization projects to improve the efficiency of mining operations;
•Develop weekly planning for underground work, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and departments;
•Perform any other related tasks requested by supervisor.
What we are looking for* University degree or mining technique;
•Minimum of 8 years job-related experience or equivalent;
•Good understanding of surface and underground mining methods;
•Experience in mining magmatic nickel and platinum group deposits (asset);
•Good knowledge of MS Office software;
•Good knowledge of Deswik, an asset;
•Possession of a general explosives license and FMTM modules (1-2-3-4-5- and 7);
•Due to frequent exchanges with English-speaking team members, bilingualism (French/English) is an asset to facilitate and improve our internal communications.
