Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager, you will provide confidential leadership, guidance, oversight and direction in the areas of Human Resources and Operational Training. This will be accomplished through accurate interpretation and implementation of all relevant legislation, corporate and site policies.
The Day To Day•Lead, guide and operationalize the development and implementation of the site’s human resources culture, systems, and policies.
•Ensure that all of CCV’s operational activities are in accordance with the applicable labor laws, standards and regulations set forth by the Company.
•Develop strategies that support growth of the business; provide recommendations on how to improve retention of key talent and positive employee engagement.
•Contribute to the development and implementation of the strategic direction for the operation.
•Participate in the annual budgeting and strategic business plan process; plans for and uses resources efficiently and ensures budget is accurate and adhered to for HR and Operational Training team.
•Work closely with corporate and site stakeholders to ensure the HR and Training services are running effectively and are in line with the Company’s values of Safety First, Always, Better Together and Be Excellent.
•Optimizing new hire and experience operational and technical training to enhance skills and abilities while improving employee satisfaction and retention
•Oversight of Learning Management System and training team
•Direct responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Safety leadership in the field across all site functions
+ Oversight of talent acquisition
+ Compensation planning and market evaluations
+ Talent development and succession planning
+ Oversight of employee relations
+ Annual performance review cycle
+ Leadership development training and support of personal development plans
+ Planning, assigning, and directing work per the site's annual plan
+ Creating and analyzing HR Metrics and KPI’s
Is This You?
The successful candidate will have a blend of HR-specific knowledge, business acumen, and interpersonal skills. This will include expertise in areas like talent acquisition, employee relations, leadership development, compensation, training, along with strong communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.
•Bachelors degree in human resource, business, or related field.
•10+ years’ experience leading HR functions, ideally in a fast-paced production environment.
•Strong knowledge of multi-discipline HR functions including employee relations and organizational strategy development.
•Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•Strong sense of management accountability and possessing skills to lead others to effectively perform their duties.
•Knowledge of applicable Federal and State Employment Regulations.
•Advanced MS Office skills along with working knowledge/proficiency of HR systems such as Workday, SAP, ADP.
•PHR designation preferred.
Work Environment
•Position based in the United States at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County Colorado.
•Ability to alter work schedule when required.
•Must be able to work at high altitude.
