Description POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a proactive and people-focused Human Resource Associate to join our growing HR team. This role plays a critical part in creating a positive and engaging employee experience through the facilitation of onboarding processes, development of training programs, and cultivation of a thriving workplace culture. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, communicative, and passionate about supporting others throughout their employment lifecycle.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - General day-to-day functions – and opportunities to evolve and grow into:
- Platforms you will work on daily to support the team include: Paylocity, JobBoss, Litmos, Microsoft Office suite.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases.
- Help administer employee benefits, leaves of absence, and HR policies.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR programs, policies, and procedures.
- Support performance management activities and employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Assist with payroll preparation and data entry (as needed).
- Participate in HR projects such as training sessions, sustainability initiatives, and wellness programs.
- Perform general administrative duties as directed in support of the HR team.
- Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and provide insights.
- Responsible for employee maintenance in the HRIS system including processing all status changes, terminations, and labor allocations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within HR administrative tasks.
- Assist in the design and implementation of employee surveys.
- Contribute to HR reporting and analytics for decision-making.
- Coordinate and execute the onboarding process for all new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.
- Schedule and conduct orientation sessions covering company policies, culture, and resources.
- Partner with IT, hiring managers, and other departments to ensure equipment, tools, and access are ready on day one.
- Maintain and continuously improve onboarding materials and checklists.
- Assist in identifying training needs in collaboration with the Technical Training Coordinator, and department leaders.
- Coordinate internal and external training sessions, workshops, and e-learning opportunities.
- Track participation and maintain training records in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
- Support employee learning initiatives and professional development programs.
- Help evaluate training effectiveness and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Assist with the planning and execution of employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, and company events.
- Conduct pulse surveys and analyze employee feedback to support a healthy and inclusive work culture.
- Promote internal communications around HR programs, events, and engagement opportunities.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees to raise suggestions or concerns related to workplace satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Leadership experience
- Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow through processes/steps to stay on top of tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS software (e.g., Paylocity, etc.).
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Human Resource administrative capacity
- Possess a state issued driver's license or a valid State Issued I.D. card
- Must be able to pass pre-employment/annual/random drug and alcohol screenings
- Must read, write, and speak English proficiently
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- General understanding of HR law as it relates to compensation, employee relations, training and safety, advanced Human
- Resource certification preferred
- Must be results driven with the ability to take initiative and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must poses a high degree of integrity and ability to uphold confidentiality
- Customer service orientation with the desire to respond to questions and resolve concerns
- Must be neat, well-groomed and present a professional appearance
