The HR Director will lead core HR functions across a geographically diverse and growing organization. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and decisive leader with strong business acumen, exceptional judgment, and a passion for building positive, high-performing workplace cultures in fast-paced, multi-location settings.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations
•Advise leaders on complex employee relations matters, with a strong focus on engagement, retention, and performance management of hourly employees.
•Lead investigations with professionalism, consistency, and compliance, ensuring fair outcomes and minimizing risk.
•Promote a culture of respect, accountability, and clear communication across all levels of the organization.
•Monitor trends and provide proactive solutions to reduce turnover and enhance the employee experience, especially in field-based roles.
Talent Management & Development
•Equip frontline managers with tools and coaching to develop and grow their teams.
•Drive engagement initiatives tailored to operational and field teams, fostering inclusion and recognition at every level.
•Identify and elevate high-performing talent, ensuring development and retention of key contributors.
HR Strategy & Operations
•Lead and mentor a team of HR professionals serving a diverse, geographically dispersed workforce.
•Ensure compliance with all employment laws, with emphasis on labor standards impacting hourly workers.
•Collaborate closely with operations leadership to align HR strategies with business needs, emphasizing agility, scalability, and service excellence.
•Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting open communication, team alignment, and company values across all locations.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or HR certification (SPHR, SHRM-SCP) a plus.
•6–7+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity supporting both hourly and salaried teams.
•Proven success supporting field-based or decentralized operations.
•Strong expertise in employee relations, talent development, and managing HR in a complex, multi-location environment.
•Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practices, particularly related to the hourly workforce.
•Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, manage change, and build strong relationships at all levels.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
