JOB TITLE: HR Representative / Specialist
REPORTS TO: HR Manager
DEPARTMENT: SGA Human Resources
Job Summary:
Primary responsible for supporting corporate and regional Human Resources staff in day-to-day HR functions, HRIS database maintenance, reporting, compliance, and ensuring HR functions are completed in a timely manner.
This position is an integral part of a dynamic, fast-paced Human Resources Department providing direct support to the corporate headquarters in Bristol, TN and Julian, WV as well as operations in VA and WV. Ensure that HR functions are completed in a timely manner and coordinate daily functions with HR management.
Primary Responsibilities:
•Supports HRIS system to enter and review data entries for personnel changes
•Maintain historical and current HR and personnel files, adhering to confidentiality in all areas
•Support HR department with job postings, applicant tracking and interview scheduling
•Interface with HR staff in various policy matters relating to employee questions and issues
•Assist in scheduling pre-employment drug screen appointments, reference and background checks and new hire orientation for corporate headquarters
•Assist with insurance and personnel forms for new hires and active employees, distribute to appropriate departments and update the HRIS system
•Assist employees with inquiries by telephone, email or in person
•Assist employees on leave of absence as needed and monitor their status
•Perform various administrative duties, special projects and other job responsibilities as assigned by management
•Conduct all work activities in compliance with Federal and State laws and Company policies, procedures, rules and regulations.
Position Prerequisites/Preferences/Certifications/Qualifications:
•Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
•Minimum of two years of human resources experience preferred
•Knowledge of human resources laws and procedures preferred
•Experience with UKG system or other HRIS preferred
•Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word
•Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
