Job SummaryWe are currently recruiting in our Corporate Office, Charleston, West Virginia, for a Human Resources Representative position.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Assists Human Resources with advancing and maintaining HR, Payroll, and HRIS systems, processes and programsin accordance with policy and procedures, regulations, and multiple union contracts.
•Assists with processing payroll and maintaining personnel records.
•Assists with recruitment/job placement and labor relations/contract compliance activities.
•Performs timely preparation of reports such as turnover, overtime, and attendance.
•Ensures compliance, supports audit requirements and project implementations.
•Provides employees information and guidance as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requirements:•Requires two years of HR experience as well as an Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Proficiency with applicable regulations/laws governing Human Resources activity.
•Requires strong attention to detail, analytical, and communication skills.
•Proficiency with various computer applications with expertise in Excel.
•Ability to identify and handle priority and/or sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
Preferences:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline.
•Certifications: PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP, or CPP preferred.
•Minimum of two (2) years of ADP and payroll processing experience.
•Familiarity with SuccessFactors HCM or similar platform.
•Knowledge of DOT/PHMSA and FMCSA drug and alcohol testing regulations.
