Under the direction of the HR Director, the HR Onboarding and Benefits Coordinator facilitates the onboarding process for incoming employees across the company, as well as supporting benefits enrollment, employee questions and leave management. This role coordinates and acts as liaison between new hires, hiring managers and the HR team ensuring a coordinated onboarding experience. This position will refine and maintain an onboarding process that ensures hires have a smooth experience during pre-employment activities, as well as support benefits enrollment and life changes for employees and their families.
· Coordinate with the HR team managing the onboarding process including scheduling, new hire paperwork and new hire orientation on day 1.
· Completes first day onboarding tasks such as, I-9’s, reviewing new hire paperwork accuracy, and HRIS data entry.
· Coordinates and manages leave of absence requests and communicates with managers and employees.
· Weekly reporting for benefits and responsibility for 401(k), benefit changes and deduction entry.
· 2 + years related benefits or employee benefit administration experience.
· Familiarity with pertinent federal and state regulations affecting disability and leave programs, including FMLA, ADA and other state and local leave laws.
· Previous experience handling I9’s and E-Verify preferred.
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing
· Ability to handle a variety of duties and work effectively with co-workers
· Ability to compose and prepare records and correspondence
· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
· Required confidentiality about all personnel related information and situations regarding employees
· Experience in working in HRIS and payroll systems
