Job Summary:
The Senior Human Resource Generalist will oversee and manage the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department within the North American Business Unit (BU), including hiring and interviewing staff, onboarding, administering benefits, and leave, enforcing company policies and practices, employee relations and providing operational HR support to Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
•Provide mentorship and guidance to junior HR staff within the various work locations of the BU.
•Lead assignments and daily workflow of junior staff within department & current location.
Duties/Responsibilities:
•Work with the HR Manager to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
•Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training such as, continuing education, work assessments, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
•Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
•Coordinate and acquire all pre-interview/pre-employment testing and employee eligibility verifications such as drug tests and reference checks.
•Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
•Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
•Compile, maintain, and update, employee information in files and HRIS system to maintain accurate personnel actions and to provide information for payroll and internal and external reporting.
•Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
•Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
•Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
•Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
•Support HR Manager in providing strategic HR support to senior management, including workforce planning and organizational development.
•Lead HR projects and initiatives to improve processes and employee engagement.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent work experience required.
•Minimum of five years of progressive human resource experience preferred.
•SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification a plus.
