Summary
The HR Generalist will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our human resources functions including HRIS, data management and analytics, HR reporting, employee engagement, and compensation. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with exceptional analytical ability and strong communication skills.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Support the full cycle talent acquisition process including creating job descriptions, candidate sourcing and screening, conducting phone interviews, scheduling interviews, coordinating between recruiting agencies and management and preparing/extending employment offers
- Provide onboarding support, including internal system set up, conducting the pre-employment process, employment documentation, file creation and overseeing employee’s first day
- Support the annual Employee Engagement Survey process including conducting the surveys and analyzing feedback to develop recommendations and leadership briefings
- Maintain and optimize HR Information Systems for efficient data management and reporting. Ensure data accuracy, integrity and compliance
- Support HR Dashboard and other reporting as required
- Perform thorough data analysis to identify trends and patterns. Use data-driven insights to support HR decision-making and strategy development
- Conduct and participate in salary surveys and compensation reviews to gather market data. Analyze and interpret the results to provide compensation recommendations
- Support existing programs including Internships and Mentoring
- Assist with the implementation and communication of new company policies and assures company policies are administered fairly and consistently
- Provide employee support including answering employee inquiries and responding to employee needs
- Support and coordinate internal and external audits relating to HR functions.
- Oversee timekeeping administration and function as payroll and/or benefits liaison with sister company Mitsui USA.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or bachelor’s degree with equivalent HR work experience is required. Degree in Human Resources, Psychology or other business-related discipline preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of professional Human Resources experience required, preferably in the energy industry
- Strong Microsoft Office knowledge required - MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook, Teams, PowerBI/Power Automate/Copilot preferred
- Experience with HRIS data management and reporting. Dayforce is preferred
- Experience in a multi-cultural environment preferred
- General knowledge of local, state and federal employment laws and procedures as well as employee relations procedures and applicable law (ADA, FMLA, EEO, etc.)
- Fluent verbal and written skills in English.
- Professional of Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM – CP preferred
- This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Physical demands include: Prolonged periods of sitting and may need to routinely move around to communicate with different groups, periodic need to lift up to 10 lbs.
