We’re looking for a people first, highly organized, and tech savvy HR Generalist to join our team on a 9 month contract, with the potential to transition into a full time role.

The Role

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you’ll provide exceptional end to end HR and payroll support for employees across Canada and the U.S. You’ll be known for your professionalism, warmth, and strong relationship building skills, and you’ll play a key role within our global People & Culture team.

This hybrid role requires being in the office 3–4 days per week

- Primary Responsibilities

- Provide guidance to employees on policies, employee relations, performance reviews, development, payroll, and benefits.

- Manage end to end payroll processing via ADP for Canada and the U.S., ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Administer employee benefits and coordinate with providers (STD, LTD, Medical, Dental, Life Insurance, 401k, and future RRSP program).

- Proactively maintain and audit HRIS, payroll, benefits, and stock option data to ensure accuracy and compliance.

- Own and elevate the intern program, including touchpoints, development opportunities, and group experiences.

- Support and help enhance the performance management process, related tools, and training.

- Assist with full cycle recruitment and onboarding to deliver a seamless and positive new hire experience.

- Implement and administer employee policies (e.g., vacation, parental/maternity leave) and promote strong employee relations.

- Support voluntary and involuntary terminations, including off boarding and conducting exit interviews when appropriate.

- Administer stock options through our equity platform (Carta).

- Produce and maintain ad hoc HR reporting, including monthly People metrics.

- Participate in new and emerging People & Culture initiatives.

- Support salary reviews and assist with compiling salary survey data and job descriptions.

- Provide backup reception support as needed.

- Execute special projects and other duties as assigned.

- Qualifications

- Post secondary education in Human Resources preferred, with 2–4 years of HR experience.

- Knowledge of Canadian employment/labour legislation.

- Experience with ADP and HRIS platforms required.

- Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.

- Exceptional judgment and discretion when handling confidential information.

- Highly organized with strong administrative skills and meticulous attention to detail.

- Friendly, approachable, and a great sense of humor (a must in HR!).
