We are looking for a Housing Maintenance Technician
to join our team. This role is all about keeping our rental program homes safe, comfortable, and running smoothly. From fixing appliances to small remodels, you’ll be the go-to person for a wide variety of building maintenance needs.
The ideal candidate is professional, approachable, and dependable, someone who can get work done while building trust with residents and coworkers. The work you do will directly improve the quality of life for our staff who provide a vital service to our mountain community.
- General construction and hands-on repair work
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix appliances
- Drywall repairs, painting, and small remodels
- Plumbing and light electrical
- Repair HVAC and other mechanical systems
- Light landscaping and exterior maintenance
- Cleaning and housekeeping as needed
- Snow plowing and removal (seasonal)
- Build positive relationships with residents and staff
- Collaborate with housing teammates on initiatives and provide input on processes and systems.
- Coordinate work with contractors and vendors
- Assist with scheduling, documentation, inventory and reporting
- Professional, empathetic, polite, and able to develop trust
- Strong general repair and maintenance skills (2+ years of experience in general building or housing maintenance)- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using tools and equipment for building and systems maintenance
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's license within 30 days of full-time employment and be insurable under District standards
- High School Diploma or GED required; trade school or technical training preferred
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid Certification within the first two (2) years of employment
This is a full-time role. A typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm, with occasional evenings, weekends, or after hours shifts for emergencies, especially during snow season. We are also open to alternative schedules.
The pay range for this role is $30.28 – $42.40/hour. Starting pay generally falls within the minimum to midpoint of the pay range, depending on qualifications and experience.
