Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the on-time delivery of equipment to meet operational demands. This role reduces maintenance-related nonproductive time (NPT), improves asset reliability, and supports efficiency across the Maintenance Base (MB). The Maintenance Technician maintains, repairs, and troubleshoots equipment in compliance with the reliability-centered maintenance strategy and Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) standards.
Housing (including meals at man camp) is provided, and mileage reimbursement is available up to 300 miles upon completion of Light Vehicle Training.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tractors, trailers, cement pumps, air slides, bulk trailers, and other oilfield service equipment.
- Diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical deficiencies using diagnostic tools (e.g., CAT ET, Cummins Insight, Davie, Service Ranger).
- Conduct road calls using a provided facility vehicle.
- Execute work orders (WOs) in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring data accuracy and compliance with standard work.
- Record labor, materials, parts usage, and equipment maintenance performance history.
- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce equipment downtime, improve asset turnaround time, and drive cost of service delivery (CoSD) improvements.
- Participate in failure investigations and implement lessons learned.
- Adhere to all TLM standards and the Competency Management System.
- Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Preventive maintenance on tractors and trailers.
- Diagnosing electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues with diagnostic software.
- Field service/road calls using facility-provided vehicles.
- Required: Minimum 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer maintenance.
- Preferred: 2 years of oil & gas industry experience.
- Experience with cement pumps, Peterbilt tractors, air slide, and bulk trailers.
- Familiarity with diagnostic software (CAT ET, Cummins Insight, Davie, Service Ranger).
- HVAC knowledge preferred.
- Preferred: Technical training or education in Diesel Maintenance.
- Required Certifications: None.
- Housing provided, including meals at man camp.
- Mileage reimbursement up to 300 miles (after completion of Light Vehicle Training).
- Shop and field-based work environment.
- PPE provided: hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, coveralls, safety boots.
