Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our steel fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of our facilities through proactive maintenance and repair of equipment and systems. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to programmable logic controllers and electrical systems.

- Conduct welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.

- Interpret schematics to understand system designs and diagnose problems.

- Maintain mechanical knowledge to support various manufacturing processes.

- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management.

- Other tasks as needed by supervisor

Skills

- Proficiency in working with programmable logic controllers and electrical systems.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics effectively.

- Experience in welding techniques for various materials.

- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices in a manufacturing environment.

- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

- Welding machine maintenance experience

- Customer service skills to interact positively with colleagues and management.

- Maintenance on typical welding tools.

- CNC machine experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
