Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team here in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures from Monday to Friday, 6:00AM - 14:30PM. You will be responsible for operating the heavy equipment to lift, move, position, and place materials safely and efficiently throughout the yard.

What you’re responsible for:

- Safely operate a crane, loader, or shear to load and unload trucks and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution.

- Lifting and transporting metal materials using attachments such as magnets or grapples

- Collaborating and communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and other personnel in the yard

- Conducting pre and post inspections of the crane, including overall crane maintenance

- You may be asked to operate the following heavy equipment: Crane, Shear, Loader

Qualifications

To join our team:

- You have a heavy equipment operator card

- You have minimum of 1 years of experience operating a crane in a heavy industrial setting

- You have strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately position and handle different types of materials

- You have a solid understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to crane operation and material handling

- You have familiarity with various crane attachments, such as magnets or grapples
