Operate heavy equipment in various environments to prepare utility right of ways.
- a minimum of one year verifiable operator experience.
- Valid CDL with acceptable MVR
- pass a pre-employment physical capacity profile and drug screen.
- understanding all safety features, load ratings, hazards and capabilities of the assigned equipment
- is able to identify site hazards to include clearances, ground conditions, structures, workers and terrain grade
- performing daily pre/post inspections
- able to perform minor maintenance on equipment
- proper load manipulation - lifting/carrying/lowering/stacking
- proper maneuvering - spoils/stockpiles/berms/other loose material
- proper excavation/digging cuts/back-fill/dumping/loading operations
- loading and unloading equipment from trailers
- inspecting and procedures for rigging
- attaching and using implement attachments
- completing required paperwork in a timely manner
