Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and the ability to trouble shoot problems. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers equipment operates efficiently and safely. Lead mechanics position comes with a company truck, cell phone and a fuel card.
- Diagnose mechanical issues in heavy equipment and machinery.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of heavy equipment including forklifts, excavators, bulldozers, etc.
- Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to conduct repairs.
- Communicate with Operations Manager to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed on equipment.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Inspect, maintain and keep clean your assigned company vehicle.
- Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with heavy equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record required. Must pass MVR
