Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy machinery, including diesel engines and farm equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment maintenance and the ability to read schematics, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.

Duties

- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and farm machinery.

- Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and schematics to determine necessary repairs.

- Conduct diesel engine repairs and perform OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications to maintain equipment integrity.

- Execute welding and soldering tasks as needed for equipment repairs.

- Inspect equipment for safety compliance and operational efficiency.

- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.

- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.

Requirements

- Proven experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.

- Familiarity with OEM specifications and standards.

- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to heavy machinery.

- Experience with welding and soldering techniques is preferred.

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

- A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy equipment repair are a plus.

-Must have own mechanic truck and all of your own tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $35.00 - $70.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 70 per week
