Rockydale Quarries Corporation, an established aggregate producer in Virginia, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for their Broadway/Flatrock locations to troubleshoot, adjust, weld, repair and maintain diesel and gasoline equipment. Must be able to repair and maintain both off-road construction-type equipment and over-the-road vehicles, up to and including Class 8 trucks. Requirements include the ability to maintain protective guards and safety devices on equipment, along with performing preventative maintenance services.

Working knowledge of DOT Motor Carrier Division Safety Rules and Regulations as they pertain to over-the-road-trucks is a plus. Must be a safe, self-starting individual willing to perform other related duties as required by job.

Candidate must be able to work outside in field conditions during all seasons. Five (5) years experience with similar or same equipment and/or machinery is required. Must be able to work overtime as required by job.

Minimum of five (5) years of experience with similar or same equipment and/or machinery is required. Minimum of three years of experience may be considered if post-secondary vocational/technical school training in the required field has been completed successfully. High school diploma or GED is required. Must be able to provide copy of clean driving record.
