Heavy Duty Mechanic

Proline Pipe Equipment Inc. manufactures, rents and sells quality equipment and supplies to the pipeline construction industry. We are looking for an off-road Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our elite service team.

We are currently seeking a candidate to perform the following duties:

- Service and troubleshoot Proline’s rental and yard equipment. (in shop and in field setting)

- Inspection of rental equipment when returned from the field for damage and repair or replace defective parts.

- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and chain & belts to precise tolerances & set engine valves.

- Align and test equipment and make any necessary adjustments.

- Perform predictive and operational procedures.

- Scheduled on-call requirements and field services.

- Assist in other areas as requested

- Preferred certificates would be ideal not necessary

Skills that are required:

- Heavy Duty Mechanic

- Experience with CAT/Deutz/Cummins/Kubota power systems would be an asset

- Experience in hydraulic and pneumatics and electronics

- Willing to work overtime as needed

- Willing to leave with short notice for service requirements

- Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs

- Must have a valid driver’s license and produce a clean drivers abstract

- Must be able to pass random drug testing

- Ability to prioritize tasks for completion in a timely manner

- Strong attention to detail

- Enjoy a fast-paced environment with often changing priorities.

- Ability to work efficiently without supervisor
