Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning Installer Technician

Company Overview:

We are growing our residential HVAC division and are seeking a Rhode Island Refrigeration Master to support and oversee residential ductless mini-split installations. This role is ideal for someone experienced in refrigeration, newly licensed, or semi-retired and looking for flexible oversight work.

Responsibilities:

- Install residential ductless mini-split systems (single-zone and multi-zone)

- Braze, flare, insulate, and run copper refrigerant line sets

- Install condensate drains, line-hide, pads, brackets, and mounting systems

- Perform nitrogen pressure testing, deep vacuum pulls, and system charging

- Ensure all work complies with Rhode Island refrigeration and mechanical codes

- Pull required residential permits

- Oversee and guide junior installers and apprentices

- Complete commissioning, testing, and homeowner walkthroughs

Qualifications:

- Active Rhode Island Refrigeration Master License (required)

- EPA 608 certification preferred

- Residential HVAC or refrigeration experience

- Strong knowledge of piping, brazing, and system installation

- Ability to work in attics, basements, crawlspaces, and on ladders

- Valid driver’s license

Compensation:

- full-time annual range: $66,560 to $87,360

- Additional compensation may be available for oversight, consulting, or permit-pulling roles
