Reporting to the Health and Safety Supervisors the Health and Safety Advisor will perform a wide variety of Health and Safety activities and carry out responsibilities in functional areas including but not limited to: policy and procedure development and review, workplace inspections, high consequence risk control protocol auditing, incident investigation facilitation, site inductions, job hazard analysis and risk assessment facilitation.

- Data entry and maintenance of all Health and Safety information tracking systems

- Facilitate incident investigations and reporting requirements

- Performing workplace inspections and audits of high consequence protocols

- Facilitate the development and review of health and safety policies and procedures

- Facilitate job hazard analysis and coach on the use of the 5 Point Safety Card

- Mentor Supervisors

- Deliver safety programs as needed

- Assist in managing emergencies

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications And Experience

- Diploma or Certificate Program or experience in Health and Safety or related field

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

- Strong organization skills with ability to multitask and accomplish tasks, projects and goals

- efficiently

- Self-motivated and a self-starter

- Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills

- Professional attitude and well-developed interpersonal skills

- Ability to work with safety management systems (MoC, JHA, SOPs, Policies, programs)

- Hold a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

- The ideal candidate for the role will work a rotation of 7 days on and 7 days off (11-hour days).
