This position develops and manages key government sales related accounts. Responsible for overseeing the coordinated effort to ensure customer satisfaction and review/analyze new government related sales opportunities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Develops and manages new sales in the government direct and indirect sectors
- Manages all aspects of assigned accounts, including growth opportunities
- Maintains a strong working relationship with internal partners to leverage their knowledge base
- Advises customers on types of and purchase needs
- Monitors customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
- Suggests and implements improvements to the sales administration process
- Uses tools to track and analyze sales productivity
- Represents company at various government supplier base conferences
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred, but not required
- Valve and/or other related Industrial sales experience required
- At least 10 years in government sales accepted in lieu of degree
- Demonstration of technical aptitude and ability to convey to others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to take initiative and problem solve
- Ability to present oneself as well as the company in a professional manner
- Knowledge of applicable laws/policies/principles/etc
- The work environment is primarily in the office, some travel may be required
