FLINT is seeking General Forepersons - Night shift for a project-based role in Empress, Alberta starting late June 2026 through October 2026. The scope includes heavy rigging mechanical and piping work, critical lifts, and pre-planning, with primarily bolt-up piping and limited onsite welding. This position follows a 12 & 2 rotation with 10-hour days and offers a $165/day LOA.
- Supervising day-to-day construction activities
- Leading mechanical piping, structural, and rigging crews to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and within project specifications.
- Coordinating critical lifts (80,000–100,000 lbs) and overseeing pre-planning for heavy rigging operations.
- Ensuring proper execution of bolt-up piping, hydro shop work, and limited on-site CWB welding.
- Assigning tasks, managing work schedules, and monitoring crew performance for both day and night shifts.
- Maintaining clear communication with project managers, HSE, and QC teams to address safety, quality, and operational issues.
- Conducting toolbox talks, job briefings, and on-site inspections to enforce company policies and regulatory compliance.
- Managing logistics, site organization, and equipment to support smooth project operations.

- Proven experience as a foreperson or supervisor in mechanical, piping, structural, or industrial construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of heavy rigging, critical lifts, bolt-up piping, and welding operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Familiarity with HSE requirements, quality standards, and project specifications.
- Experience with project planning, scheduling, and reporting site progress.
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
