Gas Turbine Assembly Specialist (1st Shift 6:30am – 3pm)**

A Snapshot of Your Day The primary purpose of this position is the complete assembly and disassembly of Gas Turbine Engines and relatedsub-assemblies and related parts. Tools used include but are not limited to: Hand tools of various types and sizes, precision measurement tools including borescopes, specialty torquing and bolt stretching tools including heating devices, material handling devices, numerous standard and conventional PPE devices.Material handling equipment How You’ll Make an Impact Work from manufacturing information, drawings, specifications, operating procedures, written and/or verbal instructions: - With supervision and technical staff, develop assembly sequencing and procedures. - Perform cleaning, assembly, fitting and preservation activities for engine sub assembly and final assembly operations including blending and detailing. Activities include borescoping and basic wiring on engine for Gas Turbine. - Loads/unloads parts using material handling devices during assembly and/or assists crane operators. - Works according to Siemens Energy values, procedures and policies. - Adapts to various situations and adjusts to shifting priorities. Team player - provides assistance to co-workers i.e. training, handling, and/or measurements etc. - Completes detailed records and other information, as required by systems (Operator Verification, product identification, etc.) - Maintains own work area - preventative maintenance, cleans and returns tooling, attachments, fixtures, tables, etc. to proper location upon completion of operation - Assists quality organization with measuring, testing, charting of operational information and/or recording data - Follows Siemens Energy established procedures to operate machinery/equipment. Performs a variety of in-process and integrity checks (electronic or manual), as required, in order to maintain specific drawing tolerances. What You Bring - Knowledge in the use of shop mathematics, together with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, various types of hand tools and/or the training generally applicable in a particular or specialized occupation. - Applicants must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience and applicable trades training such as an associates degree. - You possess a High School Diploma or GED. - Ability to manually lift up to 50 lbs for short durations, with or without reasonable accommodation. - Ability to work with either written, oral, or graphic instructions. - Ability to obtain fork truck and crane licenses through Siemens Energy’s internal certification programs. Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests or any other as required to perform the duties. Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
