Furnace Operator

Duties

- Operate and monitor coreless induction furnaces, ensuring proper temperature control and consistent operation throughout production cycles

- Perform routine inspections of furnace equipment, including thermocouples, gauges, and safety devices to prevent malfunctions

- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklift

- Maintain detailed records of furnace operations, temperature logs

- Fill the furnace with all essential materials and iron –charges.

- Perform tests on the furnace and iron

- Load and weigh charge bucket

- Operate electric hoist on charge bucket and coordinate it to the proper place.

- Monitor all cooling and electrical functions of the furnace.

- Aid molding lines and perform other related duties and assignments as required

- Notify supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area and clean work area at the end of each shift

Requirements

- Proven experience operating coreless induction furnaces or in a manufacturing environment.

- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity with coreless induction furnaces a plus

- Ability to read and use precision measurement tools accurately

- Skilled in handling hand tools, for tooling setup for various manufacturing tasks

- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality inspections

- Knowledge of safety protocols related to furnace operation, and general manufacturing standards
