Stout Excavating Group (SEG) operates in the high growth aggregate mining industry primarily focused on mining and civil construction in multiple states across the United States. The A-1 Companies maintain offices in both Bloomer, WI and Converse, TX.

Stout Excavating Group (SEG) is expanding and currently has an opening for a Civil Excavation Construction Foreman/Lead with 3+years of Experience. The Civil Construction Foreman is responsible for the overall coordination and daily progression on Stout Excavating projects. Tasks/Responsibilities

- Actively support SEG’s commitment to safety.

- Understand the projects and their requirements.

- Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the work of crews, and all on-site activities.

- Prioritize tasks and provide concise instructions and appropriate feedback throughout the progress of construction to completion.

- Track progress of all site work from planning to completion via use of HCSS HeavyJob.

- Identify, troubleshoot, and provide corrective recommendations with civil engineers and general contractors as problems are detected before they become major issues.

- Coordinate inspections with appropriate authorities.

- Develop and improve procedures to ensure maximization of SEG’s resources.

- Communicate at all levels of the organization to ensure efficient and effective operations.

- Work closely with Project manager and General superintendent to determine the resource needs for various projects.

Skills/Qualifications:

- 3+ years prior experience as a Civil Excavation Construction Foreman/Lead in Civil Dirt Excavation work.

- Ability to read construction plans, specifications, and other documents.

- Extensive knowledge of the civil construction industry, such as layout, grading, excavation, above ground/underground utilities, and storm water drainage structures.

- Ability to motivate teams to produce quality constructions with deadlines and simultaneously manage several projects.

- Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals, including subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.

- Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Schedule:

- Day shift

- Monday to Friday, overtime and weekend work are required, as necessary.

Pay: $26.00 - $35.00 per hour
