Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000+ residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Brushy Creek MUD is hiring high energy, fitness-minded Fitness Specialist to oversee the classes and client scheduling within our fitness department. This position will be key in creating a positive and motivating atmosphere, ensuring an exceptional experience for our members.
- Coordinates with instructors and personal trainers to optimize their schedules and ensure a balanced workload. Ensures class and training support during periods when a group instructor or personal trainer is unavailable.
- Facilitates the pairing of new personal training clients with trainers, aligning training styles to meet the client's individual needs and ensuring compatibility based on the availability of both parties.
- Confirms that personal training sessions are appropriately deducted from each client within the registration system.
- Maintains and updates monthly metrics for personal training and fitness classes.
- Provides one-on-one or group fitness training sessions, limited to a maximum of 25% of scheduled hours.
- Maintain current certification/license, or ability to attain certification/license within 90 days of hire:
- American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
- Must be certified upon hire through one of the following programs:
- NFPT Certified Personal Trainer
- AFAA Certified Personal Trainer
- ACE Personal Training Certification
- ACSM Exercise Specialist
- Certified through Cooper Aerobics Center
- NSCA Certified
- Standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with occasional weekend hours as required for events.
