Financial Analyst - Seeking Adventurers and Builders in Renewable Energy

Who We Are:

GreenKey Solar is a nimble, fast-growing solar energy development firm. Our goal? To combat the climate crisis head-on by developing utility scale solar projects in key growth markets. We are small but mighty, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced. We work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with offices in Portland and Bend, OR. We are a team of doers, taking ownership of our work and proactively solving problems to achieve ambitious goals.

Who You Are:

You are not waiting for someone else to act—you take responsibility and initiative to get things done. You have a passion for renewable energy, are driven to tackle complex challenges, and see them through until they are done and done well. You thrive in an environment where creativity, problem-solving, and curiosity is paramount. You are not intimidated by new challenges or roadblocks, but see them as an opportunity to innovate a solution through collaborative problem solving. You believe in learning continuously, growing with every experience, and driving solutions, not just identifying problems.

What We Value:

- Accountability & Ownership: We own our work and see it through. We take responsibility, admit when we're wrong, and make it right.

- Creativity & Problem-Solving: We don't just point out problems; we solve them. We think outside the box and find the best solutions.

- Curiosity & Growth-Oriented: We never stop learning. We ask questions, challenge assumptions, and drive for personal and team growth.

- Initiative/Self-Starter: We act instead of waiting for others to act. We find solutions independently, identify opportunities, and keep pushing forward.

- Integrity/Transparency: We do the right thing, even when it's hard. We are dependable, honest, and committed to our principles.

Your Role:

- Build financial models for banks and company principles

- Research new markets, legislation, and technologies

- Monitor loan covenants and project performance for compliance

- Assist with bank diligence, legal review, and closing of loans and tax credit sales

- Coordinate monthly loan draws for active construction projects

- Forecast medium and long-term cash flow (3+ months out)

- Manage insurance, bonding capacity, and diligence requests

- Support asset management functions for operating portfolio

- Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and streamline processes

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

While we don’t expect you to possess every qualification, we seek someone with a growth mindset and the skills to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven company. If you’re unsure but feel you’re a great match based on your experience and work ethic, we encourage you to apply!

- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in corporate finance.

- Education: Degree in business, finance, accounting, related field, or equivalent work experience.

- Technical: Proficient in Excel & VBA and experience working with LLMs.

- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects at various stages.

- Mindset: Self-motivated, results-driven, and committed to high ethical standards.

- Flexibility: Able to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Why Join Us?

- Competitive Compensation: Salary range of $70,000 - $90,000, commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential.

- Comprehensive Benefits: Company-paid medical, retirement match, flexible work schedule, and paid time off.

- Growth Opportunity: Join a rapidly growing company at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution.

- Purpose-Driven Work: Be part of something bigger—making a tangible difference in the fight against climate change.
