Field Service Technician

Novomet is a global company that manufactures Electric Submersible Pumps that incorporate new technology that reduces electricity consumption by approximately 30%. It also has a long list of other technologies that create additional added value for our customers, like slim-line ESP’s, rigless deployed ESP’s and rod-less PCP’s. These new technologies allow us to continue to expand our market share even during periods of low activity.

Novomet Canada Limited is looking for the next lucky member of our team. If you are a self-determining and talented field service technician with Oil & Gas industry and ESP experience, we want you! We are looking for a positive representative of the company and its brand, that will conduct field service activities with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity.

Routine tasks and responsibilities:

- ESP Field Service for installations, pulls and trouble shooting

- VSD start-up, trouble shooting

- Coordinate and/or assist in scheduling and dispatching field jobs with clients and third-party spooling services

- Perform cable splicing, testing & trouble shooting in shop and/or field as needed.

- VSD and controls assembly, testing and prepare for shipment to field Provide training to other field service/control personnel

- Accurately and diligently complete (in a timely fashion that meets deadlines provided), all paperwork required for the position, including and not limited to install, pull and troubleshooting reports, Field Service tickets, expense reports and time sheets.

- Ensure Service truck inventory, and tools are always clean and organized.

- Strictly adhere to all QHSE requirements in CANADA, provide personal example ofproper execution to all employees

Requirements:

· Proven working experience as a field service technician or relevant role

· Oil and Gas industry experience and artificial lift knowledge is a must

· Proficiency in MS office

Must Have

· Clean Canadian driver’s licence

· Minimum 3+ years experience installing, pulling and trouble shooting ESP’s

· Solid understanding of VSD’s and medium voltage electrical

· Canadian citizen, resident and reside in Canada

· Ability to travel in Western Canada

Preferred

· Education as an Electrician, Electrical Technologist or similar

· Located in the Edmonton/Devon area

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
