ISS is currently seeking a Field Service Technician to join our team!
- ISS Office / Shop - Broussard, Louisiana
- Louisiana and Texas - Land based
- Offshore Gulf of Mexico
- International Land and Offshore - depending on interest and ability
The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge in the following areas:
- Fire and Gas Detection
- Conventional Fire and Gas Detection
- Addressable Fire and Gas Detection
- Fire Suppression
- Fixed Gaseous Suppression Systems
- Portable Fire Suppression
- Public Address and General Alarm
- Page/Party Paging Systems
- Advanced and IP based Paging and Alarm Systems
- Demonstrate advanced diagnostics and repair skills on one or more the above Industrial Safety Systems.
- Computer literacy and knowledge:
- Outlook, Word, and Excel
- PC hardware and software communications
- Programming Logic (Boolean, Ladder)
- Effective written and verbal communications in English
- Rules and Regulations for Land and Offshore market
- General understanding of Industrial Process equipment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Industrial Technology and/or Electronics Technology degree/training preferred
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience working in Plant/Refinery or Offshore Oil & Gas industry.
- Must pass a UKOOA type medical exam demonstrating Fit for Duty
- Must meet the medical requirements to wear PPE required in offshore oil & gas industry
- Must pass a DOT drug screen
- Frequently required to stand, walk, twist, balance and stoop with good balance
- Regularly required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds
- Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand (or in a backpack) for at least 50 feet
- Occasionally required to climb in and around equipment, stairs, and slanted ladders
- Occasionally required to sit, kneel, and squat
- Ability to hang from a rope swing for 8 seconds
- Ability to hold breath for a minimum of 35 seconds (Helicopter Underwater Escape Training and water survival training requirements)
