Responsible to: QUALITY AND HSE PERFORMANCE MANAGER
Position Summary: The position provides support and guidance to ensure that the Company's objectives are achieved in the areas of health, safety, and environment. The position audits the safety efforts of all departments for standardization and implements the sharing of best practices. The position plans to develop, implement, and monitor programs to ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures as well as all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Support field operations by overseeing and auditing workflow to confirm compliance with safety programs, immediately mitigate dangerous acts or conditions, and provide coaching to affected personnel.
- Investigate incidents and participate in root cause analysis events as needed.
- Assist with the development and implementation of corrective actions as needed.
- Aid with first aid or medical care processes for impacted employees.
- Assist with Emergency responses.
- Regularly conduct job-site audits and inspections.
- Assist with the development of journey management plans as requested.
- Assist with the development and distribution of site-specific safety plans as needed.
- Must possess the ability to self-supervise daily tasks and metrics.
- Ability to work with a team and stand alone.
- Able to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner as well as maintain a clean driving record.
- Comply with all safety standards and procedures, as well as all training programs
- Oversee safety and environmental requirements.
- Promote ethical behavior in all aspects of the business and lead by example.
- Monitor field conditions to inform management of field safety performance.
- Supports and communicates policies, plans, campaigns, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines to ensure best practices for the overall safety and health of the Company’s employees.
- Will work a 14/7 rotational schedule
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.- Minimum 5+ years of related experience working with HSSEQ Management Systems and its application
- Bachelor of Science in Safety (or related field) preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with established safety management programs (ANSI Z10, ISO 45001, or equivalents) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders.
- 75% of field presence and travel is required.
- Capable of working flexible hours.
- Self-motivated and self-sufficient.
- Willingness to work in exposure to extreme temperatures, wind, and precipitation, in addition to working at heights while in the field.
- Able to lift 25 pounds.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
