An employee at this level performs limited work assignments independently while continuing structured development under the guidance of a Lead/Senior FCC. The FCC must demonstrate increasing proficiency in field coordination activities, safety adherence, documentation, and technical knowledge related to transmission and substation construction.

Minimum Requirements & Expectations (including but not limited to):
- Basic understanding of all applicable prints (civil, physical, structural, alignment).
- Familiarity with the FCC Manual and Specification Manual.
- Understanding of staking, bisectors, structures, benchmarks, and general survey elements.
- Ability to implement and verify DIGTESS procedures as required by Oncor.
- Ability to complete sub-surface soil investigations without C/H/R.
- Understanding of all applicable safety rules and OSHA regulations.
- Ability to work inside distribution substations alongside contractors.
- Knowledge of concrete slump testing, temperature testing, and proper cylinder handling.
- Ability to determine rebar sizes and proper construction of rebar cages.
- Capability to identify when concrete fails specification requirements and must be refused.
- Familiarity with all documentation associated with concrete work.
- Understanding of assembly and erection procedures for all structure types.
- Familiarity with right-of-way widths and access plans.
- Basic understanding of conductor, shield wire, and OPGW installation.
- Familiarity with conductor spacers and associated installation practices.
- Knowledge of site preparation activities and basic substation construction.
- Understanding of the responsibilities associated with Clearances, Holds, and Reclosers (C/H/R).
- Possession of all required tools and reliable cell phone.
- Knowledge of safety practices and job-specific materials.
- Understanding of soil and site testing, including proctor and density tests.
- Ability to understand the sequence of construction activities.
- Understanding of relationships among the Construction Manager, Project Engineer, Lead FCC, Districts, and TGM.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn, along with strong retention of new information.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment.
- Good organizational skills and proactive work habits.
- Inquisitiveness and ability to seek clarification and deeper understanding.
- Familiarity with construction equipment and basic construction techniques.

- Must be capable of conducting effective tailboard/pre-job briefings.
- Must understand and comply with E-Verification requirements.
- Ability to perform physical tasks outdoors, including in inclement weather.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, use hands, talk, hear, and maintain balance.
- Ability to sustain awkward positions or postures as required.
- Ability to properly wear, inspect, and remove PPE.
- $42.75 - $51.00/hr.
