Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The South Columbia Basin Irrigation District is accepting applications for the position of Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Desired Qualifications: knowledge of fundamental carpentry and building/facility maintenance techniques, understanding of basic hydraulics and chemistry associated with potable water systems, computer skills, Associate’s degree in related field. Wage: $36.89 - $42.36 per hour DOQ. Benefit package includes medical, dental, retirement, paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave. Job Summary

Plans, directs, and oversees maintenance and improvements to District facilities including, but not limited to: domestic water systems, sewer and septic systems, office buildings, workshops, garages, District owned residential housing, lawns and landscape, sprinkler systems, etc.

Experience

Ability to supervise and organize work schedules, knowledge of fundamental carpentry and building/facility maintenance techniques, and understanding of basic hydraulics and chemistry associated with potable water systems. Ability to read basic floor plans and construction drawings involving houses and buildings as well as piping layouts of potable water systems. Knowledge of construction and irrigation equipment. Organized and detail oriented. Effective communication skills. Ability to work in a team. Familiar with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook). Associate’s degree (A.A.) in business administration, accounting or related field or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.
