Overview:
The Facilities Coordinator reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor and is responsible for coordinating maintenance efforts across Prairie State Generating Company. This role serves as a key liaison between departments, vendors, and locations, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the company’s facilities, and any other duties that may fall upon the Coordinator’s position.
Responsibilities:
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, any of the following assigned areas:
•Maintain and manage records, files, office supplies, materials and equipment in an organized and accessible manner.
•Act as liaison between PSGC Mines, Plant, and Corporate locations.
•Track, record, and file Work Orders.
•Support the overall operation of the PSGC campus in collaboration with other departments.
•Assist in maintaining maintenance logs and daily activity records.
•Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure cost-effective and efficient services.
•Help coordinate Facilities Maintenance activities.
•Manage Add To Stock (ATS) system inputs.
•Responsible for overseeing the PSGC Fitness Center.
•Must have regular and reliable attendance.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
•Maintain records related to PSGC rental properties and communicate with tenants and Facilities Maintenance staff.
•Report issues and updates to the Facilities Supervisor.
•Organize the office environment for safety and efficiency.
•Attend meetings for coordination with Facilities and Safety teams.
•Schedule regular maintenance services including:
+ Elevator service
+ Facilities equipment servicing
+ Water Backflow Preventers (RPZs)
+ Lift stations
+ Aeration systems
+ HVAC and exhaust fans
+ Fog Alert systems
+ Port-a-Jon logistics (placement, cleaning)
•Coordinate technician scheduling for PTO, training, etc.
•Schedule dumpster delivery and pick-up.
•Obtain bids for upcoming projects.
•Maintain employee training records.
•Enter Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Service Requests (SRs), and Work Orders (WOs).

Education/Experience
•High school diploma required.
•Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance, mining, power generation, engineering, or similar industrial fields preferred.
•Strong organizational and people skills.
Certification/Licensure
•Valid driver’s license preferred.
•MSHA and OSHA 40-hour training preferred.
Knowledge of
•Strong working knowledge of mechanical equipment, construction, and building maintenance.
•Familiarity with budgeting and accounting processes.
•Experience with Maximo software is a plus.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related computer tools.
Skills, abilities and physical requirements
•Ability to interpret blueprints and simple drafting preferred.
•Ability to conduct research and order online.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff and vendors.
•High ethical standards and integrity required.
•Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
+ Physically capable of lifting 50lbs., working from heights, and in confined spaces.
+ May occasionally work in close quarters.
+ May occasionally work from elevated positions, walk or climb up and down stairways and ladders and climb on and off of equipment and must be able to bend or stoop for a full shift.
+ Don and wear required safety equipment including respirators, hearing and eye protection, and protective clothing.

•Occasional travel required for supply and part pickups.
Compensation and Benefits
At Prairie State, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as one grows and develops within a role. The base pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this role is between $32.65 per hour and $38.45 per hour. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition, this position is eligible to participate in the Company’s monthly incentive program.

Prairie State offers all full-time employees paid time off, accruing 160 hours annually with gradual increases based on length of service, as well as nine paid holidays per year. Paid maternal and paternal leave is also available to employees that meet the eligibility requirements.
