Excavator Operator

Duties

- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, loading, and site preparation tasks.

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance before and after use.

- Coordinate with team members to execute project plans efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and site activities.

- Support other machinery operations as needed, including Caterpillar equipment and specialized tools for related tasks.

- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment.

Qualifications

- Proven experience operating excavators and heavy construction equipment in a commercial or construction setting.

- Mechanical knowledge of excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes.

- Valid commercial driver’s license.

- Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and practices.

- Ability to perform routine maintenance checks on heavy equipment and identify mechanical issues early.

- Familiarity with construction materials and processes including paving and grading techniques.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
