Excavator Operator

The Iron is looking for a experienced Excavator Operators to join our golf course construction crew. This is hands-on, precision work – not a production subdivision site.

We’re building a premier 18-hole course from the ground up and need operators who can cut grade, shape terrain, and work with accuracy.

If you take pride in clean work, understand site awareness, and don’t need someone looking over your shoulder all day – you'll fit in well here.

What You’ll Do

- Operating excavators for shaping, trenching, drainage, and site preparation

- Fine grading and contouring features with attention to detail

- Following site plans, stakes, and elevations

- Working closely with the construction team to keep the project moving and progressing on time

- Completing daily equipment inspections and reporting issues immediately

- Jumping in to help the crew when needed – this is a team environment

What We Expect

- Proven excavator experience in construction, civil, or heavy landscape

- Ability to operate smoothly and precisely

- Strong understanding of safe operating practices.

- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently without constant supervision.

- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance

- Someone who works hard without being chased

- Good attitude and respect for the crew

Assets (Not Required)

- Golf course or large landscape project experience

- Multiple machine experience

- Valid heavy equipment certification
