Job Summary
Renua Energy, Inc., located in Clifton Park, NY, is a veteran owned small business with a focus on New York, Vermont, and Massachusetts.
We are looking for a residential electric vehicle installation leader to work full time to install residential electric vehicle charging stations, as well as residential and commercial solar electric systems, primarily in New York State.
Renua Energy Inc. Clifton Park, NY (or Central NY) Prevailing wage while working on site: $65~80/hour (depending upon category of work, county, etc.)
$25-55 per hour for non-prevailing wage work (depending upon experience and electrical licensing status) Full Time
- Site work: 3 years or more commercial site work experience (required)
- Electrical work: 5 years or more commercial electrical experience (required)

Work Location: Multiple Locations, NY, VT, NH, MA, CT
Master Electrician/Journeyman Electrician preferred, but not required. If hired candidate is not currently a Master Electrician/Journeyman Electrician, then Company would highly encourage participation in apprenticeship program, with a path towards Master Electrician license.
Extensive electrical experience is a must. Candidate must be confident and competent in all phases of residential electrical work. Candidate should also have experience in residential and commercial solar installations.
Our work focus for this position is predominantly commercial; however, in this position, the technician will need to flexible, and potentially assist with residential EV Charging Station and solar electric installations, when needed.

Who can communicate effectively, efficiently, and professionally with
Customers/homeowners to schedule site visits and installation schedules
building inspectors to coordinate permitting requirements (paperwork handled by office manager)
company leadership to keep them informed of daily progress on projects
customers to manage expectations and close out projects
Who is able to read and understand single-line drawings, spec sheets, and installation manuals
- Who can provide company leadership team with consistent, timely project updates and photo documentation
- Who can work with other team members, and proactively communicate daily with our Senior Project Manager/Foreman
- Who can take as-built photos and documentation and upload them to online workdrive
- Who is comfortable with or able and willing to learn and implement online tools, simple mobile apps, participate in remote meetings, and remain attentive to electronic messaging
- Who is willing to suggest improvements and process changes working toward greater efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- As needed, work as a valued team member actively contributing toward the success of each commercial/residential Solar &EVSE installations:
◼ Complete site work/footings, trenching, conduit/wire runs, construction of stanchions, electrical work, Solar/BESS/EVSE installation, commissioning, and testing
◼ Obtain all relevant project parameters from the sales/project manager pertinent to the installation
◼ Participate in online meetings & communication channels

- Flexibility is critical to our overall’s team success and you will also be expected to execute commercial EVSE projects, with tasks including estimating, sales project, management, installation, and service work Additional Job Specific Duties (if a licensed electrician or experienced crew team leader)
- Assist in close-out documentation by supplying as-built drawings and coordinating with electrical inspectors, as required
- Participate in weekly operations meetings in order to coordinate the purchase of materials for upcoming jobs, plan upcoming installations, manage host/customer expectations, and schedule installations
- Coordinate with Renua Energy’s Solar/EVSE sales and project management team on an as-needed basis to facilitate timely and well-planned installations
- Proactively coordinate with Renua Energy’s Solar/EVSE designer, to facilitate accurate and timely system design and permitting
- Conduct site visits at new potential EVSE/Solar sites, in order to support estimating/sales proposals processes.
Applicant must be in excellent physical condition, willing to work long hours, travel to job sites with overnight stays as necessary, and should be prepared to offer professional and character references. Strong work ethic, Leadership ethos, proactive communication style, and ability to work well with others is critical for this role. Candidate should enjoy working in a family-run business atmosphere, as our company is a small Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
