Residential Solar Service Technician

We are looking for experienced Residential Solar Service Technicians to join our growing service team. If you’re a problem solver with strong technical skills, electrical troubleshooting experience, and a passion for renewable energy, we’d love to meet you.

Responsibilities

· Commission new residential solar PV systems.

· Install and configure monitoring systems for solar production and home energy consumption.

· Install current transformers (CTs) for energy consumption monitoring.

· Troubleshoot and repair solar inverters, optimizers, and electrical system faults.

· Perform diagnostic testing, system checks, and verification of system performance.

· Provide excellent customer service while explaining system operation and monitoring tools to homeowners.

· Maintain accurate service records and documentation.

· Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly.

Qualifications

· Minimum 3 years of experience in residential solar installation, service, or related electrical field.

· Strong knowledge of solar inverters (string, hybrid, micro, and optimizer-based systems).

· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams.

· Proficient with tools and testing equipment for electrical troubleshooting.

· Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Must be able to pass a background check.

· OSHA 10/30 required and Enphase, Solar Edge, SMA, and other leading brand inverter certifications are required, and training certificates must be presented.

Physical Requirements

· Ability to work at heights, on rooftops, and in varying outdoor conditions.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

· Comfortable working with electrical systems and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
