Position Summary

As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for construction projects. You’ll review drawings, specifications, and materials to ensure every bid is precise and competitive. This position collaborates closely with our construction and engineering teams to support project operations, identify bid opportunities, and communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and clients.

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication—especially through email—are essential to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

- Review project drawings, plans, and specifications to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.

- Prepare detailed cost estimates, take-offs, and bid proposals in accordance with project deadlines.

- Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and project stakeholders to clarify scope, resolve discrepancies, and gather pricing.

- Manage RFIs, submittals, and bid-related documentation.

- Stay current on industry pricing, materials, and construction trends.

- Support project teams in risk assessment and contingency planning.

Qualifications

- Associate degree (or higher) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in construction estimating or related discipline (bid preparation experience preferred).

- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Excel/Word.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project specifications.

- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professional email correspondence.

- High level of integrity, accountability, and teamwork.

Preferred Certifications

- Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)

- Project Management Professional (PMP)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
