The Claims Manager is a critical role within our water damage restoration company, responsible for overseeing the entire claims process from initial insurance estimate acquisition to the final stages of reconstruction. This includes coordinating with insurance companies, clients, subcontractors, and our internal teams to ensure a seamless restoration process.
- Obtain and review insurance estimates for each project, coordinating with insurance companies to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Schedule and conduct pre-plan meetings with clients to discuss the approved insurance estimate, identify secondary damages, and explain the supplement process.
- Create comprehensive lists of all required reconstruction materials for each project, including specific material model numbers, and communicate these to the reconstruction team.
- Complete job cost forms for each client to track project financials and ensure profitability.
- Prepare and obtain client signatures on change orders for any deviations from the insurance estimate and refusal of liability forms when necessary.
- Communicate with insurance companies to secure payment and approvals for all reconstruction work, including supplemental claims.
- Schedule and oversee all subcontractors, ensuring work is completed according to project timelines and quality standards.
- Coordinate and obtain insurance approval for pack-out services, managing the inventory, removal, and storage of clients' contents as needed.
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues promptly to avoid delays and ensure client satisfaction.
- Train and mentor reconstruction technicians and subcontractors on company standards and procedures.
- Maintain a positive work environment, proactively addressing any issues that arise with the reconstruction team or clients.
- Receive ACV payments. No work can be started without an approved reconstruction estimate from the insurance.
The Reconstruction Manager is essential in delivering high-quality reconstruction services to our clients while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
