We are seeking a Director, Environmental Attribute to direct the process of qualifying, registering, auditing, generating, transferring all environmental attributes generated by the BerQ portfolio whether via the RFS, LCFS, CFS or other market we choose to participate in.
This is a key role at BerQ RNG and will have responsibility for revenue success factors as measured by verification, validation and compliance with California low carbon fuel standard (LCFS) and renewable fuel standard (RFS) RINS credits for all of BerQ RNG’s renewable natural gas production and processing plants.
You would join a collaborative and entrepreneurial team and would be exposed to all aspects of the project life cycle. In conjunction with the Manager, Environmental Attribute, you would provide timely support for the project development, and operations for renewable natural gas (RNG) projects. You will communicate internally with cross-functional departments in support of the diligence and qualification of renewable natural gas green attributes for anaerobic digester, and landfill methane projects.
The position will report directly to the Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer, and will work closely with CFO/controller, project managers and financial analysts. You would also advise as to policy changes and the changing winds of these programs in anticipation of Board and stakeholder meetings.
We are looking for a dynamic team member with a positive attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong analytical skills who is proficient working on multiple projects at the simultaneously and is equally comfortable working independently and in a collaborative team setting.
The position can be 100% remote. We meet as a Company 2 or 3 times a year in either Burlington, Ontario or near one of our project locations.
The majority of BerQ RNG dairy projects participate in both the California Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) and the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) programs. The Group you would manage is responsible for managing all aspects of these and other green credit programs, from application, to management, to optimization.
You would play a key role in ensuring the compliance for BerQ RNG across several key markets and regulatory compliance programs.
